Default Rearview Mirror

Ok, here's an odd one for all you audio nuts. Just finished installing my system this weekend. So of course I spent a few hours tweeking and enjoying sonic bliss. The only problem is with certain songs/frequencies the rearview mirror buzzes and vibrates like crazy. Now normally if something plastic vibrates I would use some dynamat, but that would look funny on the mirror!

Anyone experience this?

Any fixes?

Wile E

mine does the same thing. I always have to keep adjusting it back up and my system isn't all that powerful and no subs. don't have a clue how to fix unless a brand new one would be stiffer.

i flip the switch on mine to lock it down. it will still vibrate as it should with so much bass! either take down the bass or let the mirror do its thing

Im WAY to lazy to go out to my freezing cold car right now, but;

I took a paperclip, heated it up, bent it how I wanted so it looked nice and then painted it black with a rattlecan. I made it into 2 fish-hooks on each side where it catches the lip of the mirror. I then have it hooped over the plastic piece shooting up the window and lipped on the other side. In order for the mirror to move with the shakes, the plastic has to move (and wont).

This will also pop off the lip if you move the mirror with your hand, so no damage to the windshield plastic happens
