Default "Battery Saver Active"

Issue:
2007 MC LS
Car is running, charging at 14.5v to 14.6v
When car is running and charging at this voltage, "Battery saver active" comes on the dash in about 15mins of run time. Even at this time the charging system is giving out 14.5v to 14.6v. Nothing is running, Stereo, amps, fogs, heat(fan) are all off.

Car is is off battery sits at 12.2v

What could be wrong

You need to go to your gm center and see if there was a bulletin put out about this issue.

As far as it just being a battery I am ok with getting my own. I recently added a 1/0awg from my alt directly to my battery and a 1/0awg from my negitive post to the body. But this will not affect it.

I was wondering if resetting the PCM will clear this issue.

Solution:

Remove the negative cable form the upper rad support for 1hr to reset the PCM. The car ran before for about 15mins and this came on, Had the car running for about 1hr and its fine.

I was wrong. It stayed off last night and I went out this morning to just check the battery with the meter and was getting 10V 11V.....>Battery is toast. Oh well its just an excuse to buy an Optima lol.
