Default Radio Sound Issues - Possible Amp Issue

I have a 2006 Monte Carlo SS with 8 speaker premium sound system and XM satellite radio . I have the factory amp in the trunk. Everything worked good until one day in the winter when the battery went dead. I charged the battery and then noticed the rear speakers have almost no sound and the signal change sound is extremely low. The front speakers work fine. Based on my research, it sounds like the amp died. I purchased a brand new one in sealed box, installed it but it did not fix the problem. I checked the fuse in the passenger side foot well for the amp and it looks good. I even changed it but no fix.

My Questions:
  1. Based on this information, does it still sound like an amp issue?
  2. Is there any other fuses I need to check for the amp and/or radio?
  3. How can I test the amp to see if it is the problem?
  4. If I need to replace factory parts to after market parts, can I use the factory head unit & rear speakers? Any recommendation on parts that are not too expensive?
Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you.
