radio install HELLLLPPP!!!
ok long story short. my tv/dvd/radio player was stolen. i have a new cd player (kenwood). i bought the harness (5th pic). wired it to what i know. and i do know. but the factory is in the trunk from past dvd player. and after a had all 4 speakers wired, yellow(power), black(ground), red(ignition), im still left with all these extra wires (pics 2 - 4) --> the second pic has 1 yellow 1 black and 1 gray w/ red stripe --> the 3rd pic, those have always been capped as far as i know, --> and the 4th pic i have absolutely no idea what this plugs into. the harness i purchased only utilizes the plug on the first pic. oh actually yes sorry there is also a pink-ish wire to in the mix of extra wires. its just really tricky cause the place who installed my tv ran power off of a 25amp mini fuse... not cool! ive tried pretty much everything i can think of with it. the group of three wires i figured id try pairing (u know yellow with yellow black with black... nothing so in short sorry for yackin my head off but please HELPPPP!!!
ok so as i looked more. i noticed that there are only 5 wires coming out of the factory radio in the trunk. yellow, black, gray w/ red stripe, then it seems as if just one set of speakers 1 white, 1 white w/ black. then up in the front of the car where the new one is going. only the yellow black and gray wires are present. i think i discovered a orange wire in there too. what does the orange usually do?
