Depends on your idea of a decent price and what you are looking for.

I wanted a touch screen and dvd player. Also GPS option and rear camera option. Picked up an Alpine for $800 and I thought that was a good price. Also wanted my IPod to hook up.

Total have about $1000 in that system and I haven't touched speakers or amps. The premium sound package that came with the monte is enough for me.

Well a wiring harness is going to be about $100 which ever way you go. How much are you looking to spend on the top end?

So about $250 for the head unit. I'm sure Alpine has some great CD players in that range yet and some that are IPOD ready. I'd hit Bestbuy.com and take a look.

Ransoms are pretty good too and they are much more knowledgeable. Their prices are usually a bit higher, but that is what you have to pay for the good customer service.
