Hey all i asked alot of questions about subs and what not before and well i finally got it hooked up this past weekend. its a 12in type S and its in a custom built box. it sounds awesome and looks great too! im trying to figure out how to hide those wires right now..

 

Looks great man.. Those wires can easily be ran under the carpet..

 

Question: why did you face the sub towards the front of the car? Wouldn't it sound louder if you faced it opposite direction or had it laying on its back?

 

Most people do it for looks, it would def be louder turned the other way!

 

yeah i did it for looks. basically cause i never drive with more then 1 other person in the car. i may turn it around one day. it looks good either way. and the wires work both ways .

 

It depends on personal preference.

I had a couple setups in my monte and forward facing gave me the best sound. Some songs the low bass was louder rear facing, some songs bass was louder forward facing.

It's not just for looks...
