PrecisionFit calls this material "Leatherette". Most factory "leather" seats only use leather in the seat face. The sides and back are vinyl. These covers are similar to that side/back material, and have a soft feel - not hard or plastic like. I could not tell the leather and "Leatherette" samples apart - appearance or feel wise. (I got a $10 off coupon with the samples, too.)

Here's what Precision fit says on their web site - "When you want that moisture resistant classy look for your vehicle, this synthetic leather has all the same characteristics of soft genuine leather. When teamed up with the soft foam backing, these seat covers have a luxurious feeling -- like a comfortable leather sofa."

You really can't beat them for the price I paid. They even have a pocket on the back - like the original seats. They include headrest covers as well, but my originals are still ok, so I didn't use the headrest covers.

Of course I will miss my duct tape. There's really nothing like the look and feel of my old dried out duct tape/leather seats.

The 95-99 Monte pattern is not listed on their web site, but they have it. (No rear seat pattern at this time, though). Here's what I was told to order in case anyone else is interested ...

Product code C1011

95-99 Chevy Monte Carlo Buckets

Adjustable Headrests

Front seats

i could use some new headrests. Is there supposed to be a whole on the underside of the headrest where red sand appears to be leaking? I find it strange that the whole is in exact same spot on both headrest for the frontseats.

To "BlownUpToHigh" - there is a hole at the bottom of each headrest - I guess it's a vent hole or something - and the stuff coming out is the old foam as it dries out and disintegrates. Mine are starting to do the same.

To "BlownUpToHigh" - I'm not going to mess with the headrests. Not now anyway. The outside of mine look ok, it's the foam inside that's deteriorating. They're not as "full" looking as they probably would be with good foam. I don't now how to get at the foam inside - I didn't look to see how the cover comes off, or if it comes off.
