Need Help Please > Aftermarket H.U. install without GM factory integration unit
I have a 6th Gen SS Monte Carlo and I'm trying to install a Kenwood head unit without having the adapter for door chimes and OnStar. I don't use OnStar and the door chimes are a bit useless for me. I wired everything to the T in the booklet and when I start the car the radio has no power. I read in the forums somewhere that the factory plug doesn't have a switched power source (that coming from the adapter) and I was wondering if anyone could walk me through on how to run a wire to get the radio working
