Hit another wall - these seats don't have the lower tracks that bolt to the floor (that the seats slide in). Greg has them on his Sparco seats - and my manual tracks will not work on these seats - so I'll have to see if any local junkyards have any Monte Carlos to steal the tracks from. I was going to try and get the passenger seat in tonight since I don't care if it won't slide (no power yet, need the harness). So currently I'm riding without a passenger seat (didn't feel like putting it in just to take it out again). But I figure it'll save me 40 pounds - maybe I'll go a little faster tomorrow

At least I got to clean under the seat - needless to say it was DISGUSTING under that thing. Half a bottle of Resolve later - it's pretty clean now.

Keep it up man. The set backs are little challenges to make it more fun! Everything is looking great I'm hoping to do my own interior swap soon -- One thing I'm looking forward to it is the good cleaning it's going to get!

Check Used Auto Parts For Less - Pull-A-Part. I know last time I was at Cleveland East (Kirby Avenue) and Cleveland West, they had some 6th gen Montes with seats (I just don't know what kinda seats, power or non-power).

Absolutely. Besides the extra modifications I have to do to make it fit makes it seem like a lot more dedication since its not just plug and play. But I know a few others here on the forum are planning to attempt this from the same setup so I figured it would be a good idea to post the issues so they know what to expect. Granted, most of my issues so far have been because mines a 2000 and they changed a lot of the stuff on the seats in later years.

And most people that pull seats would get the bottom tracks. I knew going in I wasn't getting the lowers but I didn't think that manual tracks would be so different. But it's coming along!

Lets see: Hmmm... "interior mod" ... refers to the Inside of the vehicle...

Lemme guess if its for the drivers/passenger comfort.....

Im guessing a LOUNGE CHAIR? with a Boom Box as a headrest.

GOOD NEWS! Went digging under the carpets today and found that I do indeed have the harness for the seats! Plugged the seats in to double check and they worked perfectly. So as soon as I can get the bottom tracks pulled off and swapped on I'll be all set - there's also the harness going through the console for the switches.

So to the junk yards I go.

Thanks! I looked at a black factory one so I can see exactly what I'm missing. Found out its just the front pointed piece that hooks into the floor. Cleveland West had 1 6th gen and low and behold they had seats. The rest of the car was picked to **** though. Beat pretty bad on the outside too. So I got my parts and I'm putting them on now. Should be all set in a few hours. I'll post a final update later, with all kinds of pictures. I'm on my phone right now in my garage, taking a break.
