Mystery Interior Mod

ISSUE:
Is there a filler strip or something like that between the 2 seats? I have a gap and the front is locked into the holes, top too.

EDIT: I should add - my original seat had a "bump" thing in the back that would fill that gap - did GM start using removable "filler strips" or something like that in later years to cut costs?

I actually thought about pulling a black one since my car is black and tan 2 tone - except in the back, so I thought it would be a cool way to bring some 2 tone to the back - but Greg has the one that goes with the seats so he's going to mail that over.
I just wasn't sure since my seats had that piece built in, but GM probably realized it was more cost effective if they didn't have to form that into the seat itself and just make some tubes to shove in there.
Well I suppose I should have expected a difference - I know there was a difference in the fastening method - on my stock seats there were 2 feet that bolted in at the bottom - this had a metal plate the length of the seat - which, due to the seatbelt bolts, had to be modified. It bolted up in a different spot at the bottom, too.

But it's in - heard back from Greg, too and the piece should be in on Thursday so the back will be finished then.
