Ok, i have an 01 monte LS. My factory radiostopped working all the sudden, so i went to best buy and bought a new pioneer radio, and the wiring harness that goes along with it. I put it all together and i have no sound at all. The radio has power and everything, i just cant hear anything at all. What is my problem? This is killing me, i cant figure it out. Could it be the factory amp in the trunk? Does it need bypassed? Help please....thanks phil[:@]

 

perhaps something wrong with the speakers? are your door chimes still working?

 

yes they work. I need to bypass my amp, does anyone know how, they want to charge me 130 at circuit city........

 

Hmm... Chimes still work, that means you got the $100 ish wiring harness vs. the one for 10 bucks. It also means the speakers are fine, if you can hear the rear chimes then the amp should be good.

I'm going to have to think about this one overnight... little drunk. I'm trying to think if the headunit might be bad or the wiring harness but I'm too fuzzy right now and don't want to give bad advice.
