Default May I add OEM salvage yard amp to non amp '07 Monte Carlo, doable?

Hi,

My '07 with OEM radio does Not have an amp.
But I saw a an OEM salvage yard amp mounted in the rear deck on an '06.

Wondering if it's reasonably possible to take the salvage yard amp and add it to my non amp Monte Carlo.

Any info would be cool.

Probably to worth the work I'm guessing.

Thank you

Jim

I have added factory up level features to GM cars before. My guess is, yes it is possible, but you might be best tracing and removing the full harness for the amp from the junk yard car as well to place it into your car. There is a chance it may be more work than you want to do.

Thank you for sharing.

That’s what I suspected and since it’s one of my best friend’s car, that I keep in good shape for him, we will leave it as is.
