Default Latest mods, interior upgrades

Wanted to take a moment and show some of the mods I kept secret for the GM Nationals. Wanted to have some interior mods that would add a bit more refined feel to the Monte. And the back window Louvers only Maniac, Turbo Monte and MjClemm knew about. Maniac was the only one to see any pictures of them prior to the event. And now that it has past thought I would highlight each of the mods. Wanted to stay with my tan and black theme and just a splash of red for the interior.

Made the larger door panel inserts an all leather look black vinyl. Embroidered the 6th gen. Monte Knights crest on to the panel bordered by perforated vinyl strips with red stitching. Bought the OEM black door latch inserts (one from Z Jerry here who donated his to me). Went to the junk yard and pulled the black finger latch from an Impala and now have completely black door panel inserts.

Used the same black vinyl and had a new shifter boot made.

A lot of custom milling and lathing work involved here in order to get this B&M shifter handle to work. Actually feels very good when shifting, good grip area to wrap your fingers over when shifting. Was a solid handle and was bored and fit with a custom stainless steel button and the lower attachment was lathed to recreate the OEM plastic style attaching point and with the C-clip too.

Custom one off "Black Cat Customs" gauge faces. I had them reproduce the Limited Edition font like my OEM original, added red lines around the message centers, had a red line go from thin to thicker the faster you go. found some checkered flags I liked on line for them to copy, green leds and at the very end after 140mph had "OMG" put on. Cheesy touch I know, but it ain't easy being cheesy.

Had the dash bezel wrapped in the black vinyl with the perforated used in the center by the instrument cluster. lots of stitching and stretching going on here to get this done. Looks okay to me...

Had per ChiBi's recommendations bought a Wheel Skinz cover to top off the boring OEM steering wheel.

That's about it for the interior, I like the feel of it now when I open the door.

Looks 10x better in person. Those personal touches you made to the interior are phenomenal!!

I really like the leather look around the dash, I really might steal that idea when I do my interior haha

Nice guages! Where do you get them? And do you know anywhere that can make custom guages?

I don't think you can capture the essence of that sweet monte in any picture. Feels like every part of your monte is custom. Lots of love into that car, absolutely outstanding. I'm happy I got to see that beast with my own eyes.

I got the black bezel and handle and other pieces for my door panel to 2 tone it black and tan, as I was going to do in whole interior, and have them still sitting here a couple years now lol. I am also making my own boot. Been planning that whole "black and tan" interior project since 2010 but never seem to have the time to do it. Was even going to 2 tone the seats myself. It looks great! I love the wrapped "cockpit" area too. But since I recently found a red/black pace car interior, I will be ditching the tan once I find a donor car in a junkyard so I can get all the other black trim pieces. Love your seats too! Great job!
