kenwood ddx419 install?
#21
I just bought mine at Best Buy and was going to install it myself but I figured for $119 it was worth it to let them do it and that way labor is covered with the 4 year extended warranty I bought.

I was back there watching and talking to the installers and they seemed pretty knowledgeable and I offered them advice on how to get my dash out but they said they had done a lot of them before. They had it out in no time and knew beforehand that they had to cut out the plastic backing part of the dash to make the unit fit and showed me when they had it apart.

I checked when I left and they did not leave any of the fastener’s off. I guess it depends in the installers but I was happy with mine...
When I went back the next day the unit was on sale so I got $30 back.

I've also seen problems with them using electrical tape instead of soldering or crimps or using smaller than suggested ground wires and stuff and other simple but potentially hazardous things like that/

I guess you caught that 5% lol I almost had a large lawsuit with them over a potential life threatening issue.
