Kenwood?
Just wondering on how good of a deal this is...
My friend is needing money for college and he offered to sell me his subs as I have none. Now what he is going to sell me is both 12 inch Kenwood subs, the ported box, the 400 watt amp that is attached to the back of the box for $250-$275. I was just wondering on if this would be a good deal for me or not, I'll have to wire the subs in but I can get some help for that after I find out how to wire it in with the stock head unit.
Should I pick these up, or let 'em pass on by?

RE: Kenwood?
Alright guys, I think I will then. Thanks for the quick replies. Any idea how hard it would be for me and a few friends to hook them up to my stock headunit nice and cleanly or should I look into taking it to SoundPro or something along those lines?

well, most car audio places around me at least like to bend you over when your going to get something of that sort done. its not hard, it just takes a while. as fir the stock headunit... i have no Idea. thats the first thing I bought when I got new speakers!

Yeah, I like the look of the stock head unit, and if I do replace it I want to get a nice Double Din that will fit right in. The only problem with that is finding one that doesn't cost a million dollars.

My buddyput subswith his stock headunit in his Sentra. There is something that you tie into your back speakers and they still work. Then you just tie into the power wire and there you go. I like my stock headunit but I would replace for a double din also w/ navi, I travel quite a bit. But don't want to get ride of my 6cd changer.

Nice, but as a college student I will have to put off one of those for atleast another million years, or atleast until I get out and start making me some cash. All of the cash that I plan on making next semester will go towards Australia this summer.

RE: Kenwood?
All you need is a Line Out Converter to use the subs and amp with your stock headunit. This device simply splices in between your rear speakers, and it provides RCA inputs for your amplifier. You won't get the full potential out of your subs and amp, but it is the only option for using the stock headunit. Just Google or eBay"Line Out Converter", and you'll come up with plenty of them.
