installing aftermarket radio in my 02 monte

Default installing aftermarket radio in my 02 monte

i am in the process of installing a pioneer deck in my 2002 monte carlo ls. i was wondering if the gmrc-02 adapter would work for my car.. i have been looking all over the internet and can hardly find anything. could you help me

According to Metra Online, you should be able to use that adapter. That's one of the harnesses listed under that specific vehicle.

But it allows the furtherance of OnStar, door chimes, etc. It is also where the headunit will get PWR, GND, clock power, where I could hook up all into the factory speaker harness system, etc, ... if I was going that route ...

I am using it for retention of door chimes & if I ever add OnStar (probably not), & to NOT have to hack into the car's wires for PWR, IGN power, GND, etc. Then I just have the trip & RCA cables going to the back ...
