16 is fine, i run 14 my self though. 16 on my tweets. you just have to figuire out how to get it through, the passenger side is easy.

a trick is you can pop one end of that gasket off rather easy that way you can grab the wire and push it through the hole on the door, but on the driver side theirs that darned foot break makes it a BITCCCCCCCCCCCH to get that wire in, my first time i got it on the first rtry *lucky* but i know it can be a real pain in the ***.

Pretty easy. When u open the door you'll see an accordian looking boot, run the wires right through that boot. Check SQMontes sticky thread, he has pics of it in there.

As for wire guage, I honestly dont see the point in tripling the wire guage of whats coming out of the stereo cause ur still just gonna get what the stereo speaker wire can supply. But if u have money to burn, knock urself out. So clearly 16ga is overkill, 20-24ga will be plenty for deck power and it will save u from wasting money on overpriced wire that wont provide any audible difference. just buy a spool of it, 30ft should be plenty.

yeah. the only time you would run 14-16 awg wire to replace the wires that currently run through the accordion boot, would be when you are running speaker leads from an aftermarket amp.

just get the 20-24 awg wire spool and go to town imo.

unless you are planning on adding an amp later, in which case, go ahead and run the larger wire, you can splice it later inside the vehicle to run to an amp.

youd need a converter like a rocker fosgkate 3 sixty, or something of the sort, i'd recommend if your happy with your sound just finding sombody with a stock amp laying around.

oh will you look at that, i have a stock amp laying around PM me if your interested in it, or you can feel free ot hit up the dealer but the dealer wants something like 600$ for it, i can probobly do better :P
