Horrible Distortion

Default Horrible Distortion

Recently i had problems getting my new kenwood head unit working...well we got that working but now i have horrible distortion...i have the gmos-04 wiring harness and there is a screw on there that i can turn taht is supposed to fix that but i cant get it to work...anyone have major problems with this that can give me a few tips

as much as i hate to say this. iam sooooo glad i dont have kenwood anymore.

the only things that you can do is take it out and get it checked out by one of thier service reps in your area. being new you dont want to mess with it to much or they will void warrenty on it and hten your screwed.

Sorry to hear this . but am so glad i have pioneer now

The screw on that unit is for the volume of the onstar device. I say the deck has a issue with the internal amp. Have it tests on a bench.

Most stereo shops, well real ones hav ebench testers.....

Insteadh of all the work of installing it in a car to see if the deck works they just attach it to a harness that is on there work bench and they test it.

I have one here, Made from a computer power supply and what not. Not hard to do but thats getting of topic.

hmm cant i just bypass the stock amp somehow...i mean i have 2 500watt amps in the trunk that should do the trick lol

yeah do a serch on googel for impala/montecarlo amp by pass. i have seen it on occation in other bords but dont know where. I do know that it is out there for the wireing dig.

wow im not havin any luck with finding a wiring diagram...does anyone know where to find them?
