ok so heres an update, tonight i went and bought new high and low beam bulbs, and a new drl relay. changed it out and there is nomore highbeam low message, but still my high and low beams are on at the same time and on my dash my blue highbeam icon is still on. now if i were to try and click the highbeam lever it dont click its been like that since i got the car but this issue didnt happen when i bought it. when i pull it though it does get slightly brighter so still any idea what this could be? i have an idea on what my next step will be but still want ideas

 

Sounds like the multi-function switch (aka, the wand you click) has failed. Sadly a pretty regular issue in some GMs.

 

I thought that as well. How hard would it be to fix myself? I have the part on watch on ebay right now for $80 new

 

ok people update on this one i just ordered the multifuntion switch, i think i got it at a steal check this out!!!!

Ok after changing out the multifunction switch the problem is now fixed. No confusing high beam out message. Just the lows OR the highs and now I can use my fog lights....need new ones tho lol so finally case closed on this one
