Default HID problem

hey guys, i put a set of HID low beams in, which look amazing, but the problem i have is that, when i lock/unlock my car, they flicker like stock. i can't imagine that is good for them, so is there anyway of turning off that flicker when locking/unlocking the car?

If you use your factory radio you can program them I believe. It tells you how to do this in the Users Manual. Im not sure if you can stop them to flicker like that but I do believe you can change if the light up or not.

The lights going on and off like that should not hurt them though.

From memory what I can remember its in the same area as when you reset oil and tire monitor through the radio. There should be some vehicle options in there that you have to change. I don't know if you have or not but you need to disable your DRL's if there on low beam. Pretty sure at some point GM changed from the high beam drl like on my '01 to the low beam DRL's. I can't confirm this so I would just check just incase because send half power to your HID's isn't good for them just like the flickering.

All plug and play.

try turning on your high beams cause it does actually hurt your ballasts doing that repeatidly but my buddy had the same problem and just turned on his high beams and it never did it again
