Will 6th gen headrests fit in the newer 7th gen seats?

I believe the posts are a different width.

Because someone wanted to do the 7th gen to 6th and it didn't work

I'm pretty sure that's right.

Either the posts were different widths apart, or the diameter of the posts wasn't the same.
