Head unit oppinion.
I currently have an Eclipse CD5030 the last deck that Eclipse put out before they stopped supplying aftermarket head units. I want to upgrade to some sort of video deck. Im contemplating going the cheap route and getting something like a Jenson. The question is do you think I will have a noticeable loss of sound quality. All my speakers are driven from a 5 channel amp so im not using deck power but my Eclipse does have 5 volt pre-outs. What do ya think?

id still look at something like kenwood. Almost all of their video decks are 2V I know their top of the line model DNX9960 has 5V and maby one other model does too, im not sure..
But I did have the DDX514 with 2V and the sound quality was still excellent after coming from an Alpine CDA 9886 which is the Best sounding HU ive herd or had

LoL agreed but I love this deck !!
The deck is the brains of your system and for me along with upgrading your charging system and your car battrie these are the parts of your system that once there done they and done right they last the longest . In my opinion and my 18 years experience in car audio

oh yeah i knjow what ya mean, i'm looking into a full featured deck right now myself, i was thinking about an avh, but i think ima step it up to an avic, either the x120 or the z120. i'm upgrading my sound system, ms-8, new amp rack, new high grade rca's. remounted some things, clean things up. gonna be good. can't wait

I used to sell that deck Blazed it is an great deck. If im going to spend that kind of money though im going to find an Eclipse AVN726E. Even though there not making them anymore its a great deck. Ive heard about Pioneer's having a grounding issue. Ever have troubles with that?

I've never had a problem period with a pioneer. as far as decks, I'd never say no to any pioneer. and i've heard nothing about that. but i've read awsome reveiws on their avic 120's and the avh's have just as awsesome reveiws. but the avh touchscreens are kinda wampas, not very exceptional but still good enough for a deck.
