It's the Alpine MDA-W910J, and I can have it for the low, low price of $699! Only one thing can/will change my mind on this piece, are double dins not detachable face?

i dont think that the dubbel din is a detacabel face. I had looked at one also and then decided to stick with the premier that i have now and that was part of the reasone for it.

I love mine and it plays the MP3's and also is a detachabel face. And cheaper LOL
i paid just over 400.00 for mine. But then im not a big fan of alpine i had to many skip to much on me. when or if you ever have a hard hittign system they will tend to skip unless you can get them tight for the install. (seems you never get them tight enough) but good luck

Yeah it would, and it doesn't have those funkdafied colored lcd display alot of stereo's have nowaday's, it's just plain ol', clean and crisp white backlighting. I really like it but having to leave it in the car at all times is like holding out a $20 to a hooker(in theory, not personal experience).

Mickey- Sadly, I think you're right about it not detaching

I had about 4 different setups in my Accord, the last of which was 500watts rms to a single Fosgate Power HX2 12", that thing hit pretty damn hard, my Alpine did me right through it all, not to mention the SQ it puts out, IMO you can't do better for the price.

This is what I have in mind for my Monte...

Pioneer AVIC-N2 DVD/GPS Navigation System/6.5"

CarToys was a joke pricing wise, they want $1999 where I can buy the same unit off ebay for half that. They quoted $200 to install the unit if I bring one in. I am a stereo installation novice so I will not try to install this one myself due to the issues with the steering wheel controls.

the steering wheel controlls are easy it is a box that hooks in tot he back of the stero wires in the loom the ones i see you get a loom for them that is a plug and play on one end then you hook the stereo up normal on the other end of them it just tells the stereo to go up or down etc..

Look on crutchfeilds site and you can see them there they are not that bad in price ethier.

real nice deck also just did a install of one of those in one of our members rides HE LOVES IT!!!!
I threatend to take it home with me LOL/

But it is nice. and also will give you the GPS you were looking for to. pluse!!

I am still scared I will f it up. I have another couple of weeks to kick it around... I found a couple of these on ebay under 1K....... Hey, I have an idea, Mickey, don't you need to come back home any time soon?

Have you guy's seen the GPS system on the Acura TL? I test-drove one last week and the voice recognition capabilities make that unit absolutely killer. I think if you asked it to wipe your *** it would find a way to do it for you...

don't be skurred! It's not difficult at all, really. It's amazing to me what shops charge to hook up amps/stereo's etc, cause until you start getting into the elaborate stuff, it's really child's play.
