head unit

I have a 01 monte ss. With onstar. I dont use on star and want to put a head unit in my car. Is there anything spefial I have to change?

I have one hell of a system in my 00 SS! it hits 142 db's. I think all you have to do is go buy the correct wiring harness for it.
