Mine originally was Limo all the way around. (what % it is i have no idea)

I also have my front windsheild lightly tinted(% unknown)...with the "eyebrow"....

I had to have the side window tint removed because the mrs kept getn pop'd by the state boys on I94 on her way to work every morning...
5 times to be exact...But I got her out of all the tickets...:p...

Its still her daily driver..So, I havent replaced it yet...Once we get her something else to drive...Im putting the tint back on it...

I originally spent $125.00 13 yrs ago...To get the whole thing done...

 

tint installs range from 150 (For a 2 door) to 250$ so, with materials you will probhoibly see 150 still from shops but my guess is you could get a frined who knows how to do it for 100$ perosnaly..never half *** a tint job, it never ends well. get a shop to do it, and use real stuff not the **** off the shelf at autozone.

 

i have professional film, had it lazer cut, and the guy i am having put it on has been doing window tint and car decals(trans ams and cars that have decals on them like that) for over 20+ years, im not going to take it to a shop and pay 150 when i already have all the stuff and can have it put on for 50, im going with someone i know does good work and isnt going to mess it up. if he didnt do good work i wouldnt have chose him.

 

so i got all the old tint off over the course of the last two days since its been extremely hot outside, i was really surprised it peeled off so well on the rear window, parked the car in the sun and gently pulled the tint off, then used the 3M adhesive remover with steel wool and it took the glue right off.

should be gettin the new tint on within the next week. will post pictures as soon as i get the new tint on!

 

I only paid $139 for mine installed including llumar 15% tint. That even includes a lifetime warranty.

 

well i was suppose to get my tint put on monday, guy called and said he had a/c guy working on the a/c at his work so he couldnt make it, rescheduled for tuesday morning at 8:00 never showed up or called, since then we have called him 4 times 3 yesterday and once today to see if he still wants to put it on.

if he doesnt come through i found two other places that do work for my dads shop that will do it for me as well just have to get pricing from them on it.

 

Making my appt to get the Stang's window tinted - there is already a 2 week wait. I'm going the legal IL tint of 35% front side windows and rear. Have no idea what it's gonna cost me though.

 

Where do I find the legal limit for window tinting?

 

Google, thats where I found my states. It was on the state police web site.

 

i called a shop here in iowa yesterday, they want $330 to do it with there tint, i said no thanks.
