front and rear speaker fade is backwards
my 2000 monte carlo ss came with original speakers when i bought it but were blown out. So now i have aftermarket speakers in the back with a new amp (because the original was also blown). I wasn't impressed with the sound quality because it didn't have very much base so i purchased an amp bypass unit and now when i turn the fade to the front speakers, i get rear speakers instead, and when i turn it to the rear speakers i get the front... so i guess im at the same problem i was originally at my front speakers get more amperage than my rear. But at least i have base now. what should i do because no when i get a song with moderate base in it, the speakers get crackly.

Sounds like you either have wiring (front/rear) backwards OR something on one of your accessories was not labeled properly (hence the error).
If you had a shop install all this gear, take it back to the shop, make them fix it.
If you did it, I'd double check the wiring. If the wiring all looks correct, then reverse the front/rear connections and see if that solves it.
