to remove door panel...

-remove screw in sail panel and the door handle that opens door.

-pop out the piece around the door handle.

-under the arm rest part of the door were the handle is there is 2 TORX 30 screws remove them

-pry out the clips that attach door to frame( use something like a flat screwdriver to get between panel and frame, better yet use the door panel tool.).

-lift and remove door.

-Remove speaker, speakers are attached by TORX 15 screws

-attach door panel on in backwards step order(make sure that when door panel gets put back on slide the door panel down on to frame so the little clips at the window are attached properly or it wont attach right Hence when removing lift up and pull).

-good luck

In my oldest car I had them right on the inside of I think its called the A pillar. I think I may do the same thing in the monte its nice to have the tweeters close to your head imo makes ur music seem so much more crisp.

A note to when jaws was telling you how to take the door off.

He is saying LIFT the door, because there are metal clips that hang at the top near the window, be gentle with those. When you pop all the clips around the bottom off, try not to put too much pressure on the door, because those clips are all that's holding it on.

Also be careful when removing the switch things like the lock and and the window roll down thing. the quick release on harness is not accessible because it faces the door panel so you kinda need to pull out the whole unit and its really really easy to **** it up.

My first time i had actually pulled the hole unit apart but was able to successfully put it back together to make it work.
