I was hoping that the main fuse was blown, but my JL Audio 6 ch' amp lost it's power supply. $180 to fix a 4 year old amp. NOT! So, it's getting replaced, along with the puney JL Audio 12W1 sub and box. It's been replaced with a JL Audio 300/4 V2 amp to drive the main speakers and tweeters. Ordered is a JL Audio 1000/1 V2 mono-block amp will drive 2 new JL Audio 12W6 V2-4 subwoofers, in a custom box with a plexiglass front showing the speakers, and blue LED lighting. The 2 new amps will be mounted on a trim panel on the back of the box, visible when the rear seats are down. Also being added will be tweeters on the A-pillars.
Dashworks in Portage will do the install, as they have been doing my electronics for several years now. It HAS to be done by Memorial day weekend, for the Lane Automotive car show. About 1,000 cars will be there. When the old system went into this car, all the wiring was put in place to handle this new system. Might have to up the alternator to handle it, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Thinking about a capacitor, too.
Anyone want a JL Audio 12W1 subwoofer (240w) in a box, with a grill cover? $125. Old amp has been sold.

Yea any pics of the sub in the box? I might be interested, I have an nice amp sitting here I took out of my firebird but ended up giving my subs away.

 

Dashworks has my old box and amp. The only pic's I have right now is the ones on my cardomain page linked in my signature. It is a store bought box, nothing fancy, with a 12W1 JL Audio speaker, and the fine mesh grille has some minor dents. $125
