Default Disabling chime

Hey guys I used to have my OEM radio programmed so the chimes (like the low fuel) didnt make any sound. I have an 02 SS. Well when i took my car in to have the door speakers upgraded they reset the settings and now it makes the chime. I have looked in the book but still can't figure it out. Does anyone know how to disable the chimes?

I didn't know you could disable the chimes from the factory deck. But if you can, it'd be in the settings in the radio. Was your drivers speaker gone per chance? I believe that's what the chimes run thru. Maybe it wasn't working before, and the speaker upgrade let you hear it now. Maybe.

ya you are probably right. I took out the drivers side speaker cuz it was blown a while back. I must have just thought it was disabled and when i got the new ones it came back. Thanks for the help.

I thought the same thing when I bought my car. I put in the new speaker, opened the door, and almost started crying.
