6th Gen ('00-'05): Black out & LED swap projects

Hmmm..No I had not even thought about debadging. But if I take the bowtie off the back, then I will feel obligated to remove all of the other badges. Or, I could black out the bowtie on the trunk.

That DOES look nice and clean!! But you still have the badges on the sides, correct?
Wow, I might just have to consider that...that is sharp!! Darn sure don't need mine looking like a clown car!!! LOL

Hmmm... that is something I am going to have to consider. I will have to remove my side ones anyway to fix the rust at the wheel wells. Wow...your's really stand out and look nice!! Mine just blend in and all you really see is the SS until you get right up on it.

Mine is getting less boring all the time. My new seat covers will be here tomorrow!! Good bye red and black and hello brand new blue and black ones!!!

Nice work your doing, you just love dirty hands it would seem. It's the little things like these that start making one's Monte receiving more recognition at events. Like your interior lighting for sure, nice ambience at night. Are the new seat covers for your blue or the black Monte? Don't spend all your Christmas money all at once now, you get your bonus early!
Perhaps the trunk would look nice de-badged. I went the opposite route, I did the "in your face" approach. Pulled off all the red script emplems / SS's and went bold, showing off what this car is. Like you mentioned one had to nearly be up on the car to read the Monte Carlo script. Even added some chrome to accentuate the little areas of chrome on the car. Used a Cadillac V6 emblem and a Cobalt Turbocharged emblem. Dumped the Bow Tie, think my trunk looks kind of high end which is what the Monte's were originally and almost factory in appearance if one did not know better.
When I was buying new SS emblems for the quarter panels and trunk from what I could find out and I did a lot of looking, they are only available in Red. Ended up having them professionally painted so they would last in the sun etc. So that's why you see most all SS emblems in RED, otherwise I believe one has to have them painted how they want them to look. Just a mental note for you all.
ChiBi's Monte is a picture perfect Monte. He has the right amounts of contrast. So squeaky clean too!!
