Not sure. Here is the instruction manual for it. It might lead you in the right direction.

if so, what would be the easiest way to go about that? i have all the cables necessary (occupational hazzard, being a radio DJ and all)...
i'm sorry, i was unclear! i meant on the factory headunit... not your alpine. sorry!...

tommypro- i'm pretty sure you need to add an aux input adapter. it uses the factory cd changer controls. radio has to be removed and wire harness plugs in. then you have an rca output.then you need a rca to mini jack patch cord. thats how I run my sirrius sportster. crutchfield has one for $70.00 and has some good info on how it works.

that's what i was afraid of/hoping against. the zune fm transmitter is alright in that it transmits RDS data but not scrolling... also, it's transmit volume is a little less than desirable (including the transmitted parts {bass}). this is not due to the frequency b/c a) the zune transmitter has a search feature that allows it to find open frequencies b) i know the open/occupied frequencies from here home and c) radio locator (radiolocator.com) allows you to find open frequencies in areas one is not familiar with.

the tape deck adapter solves the volume and bass concerns but requires cleaning every so often and doesn't display RDS. this is me just being picky i guess...
