Default '98 Steering Wheel Removal

The leather rim of the steering wheel on my '98 Lumina is worn through in spots, so I want to replace it with a black one. Found an ideal candidate in a '95 MC in a local yard, but couldn't figure out how to remove it.

Luckily the ignition key was still in the car, so I could turn it 90 degrees in order to access the two holes in the back of the wheel. The question is, what fasteners are at the bottom of those deep holes? I assumed Phillips screws, but I probed around in there with my screwdriver and couldn't find a Phillips head. Is it a hex head screw instead? Torx, perhaps? If so, what size?

I have a steering wheel puller which I've used for non-airbag equipped Jeep steering wheels. Will this same puller work on this wheel?

It should work for taking off the steering wheel. I believe they are all the same cause I remember when I took my steering wheel off I just went and rented one.
