Smile 4 ohm speakers

I was wondering if anyone replaced their stock 2 ohm speakers with normal 4 ohm speakers and still kept their factory head unit and factory amp?? Did you notice any difference in volume level or sound quality??....Just wondering because i have always heard that you have to replace your speakers with 2 ohm speakers to match up to the factory stock head unit and factory amp....Let me know...Thanks

it'll depend on speaker, some speakers are loud at low owms, like sony speakers. though there very cheap poorly made speakers IMO, but any time you double the resistance your going to be cuting the flow in half. idk what the output is, but it'll be cut in half. i'd recomend some 2 ohm speakers, jbl, and infinity have some nice 2 ohm speakers, i'd go with jbl my self i dont like infinity. to bright.

if you want higher quality, RE audio makes some 2 ohm speakers, comp sets and coaxs. i dont know many others, focal has a set that i know of but thats a 800$ set.
