Unhappy 2006 radio trim broke!! Help!!

I was trying to install a little subwoofer to my audio system, which i did successfully EXCEPT when i tried to remove the radio i accidentally broke the damn trim around the radio!!! Ive been looking high and low for this thing and i cant find a replacement anywhere except for one place which sells it for about 150?!?!?!?! Please tell me thats not my only option. Ive searched GMpartsdirect.com but even that was expensive(about $90) for this little peice of plastic!

It just snapped in one spot, i mean if its possible to fix this i would. Theres no way in hell im paying 100 or more for a piece of plastic trim...

ughhhh....

Very close man! But that is actually not it, the trim piece i need will fit inside of what you found on ebay. That is morad parts and they have a good selection of parts for our W-body cars all the way up to Cadillacs. I would certainly recommend them to anybody.

Thank you for your help though bro!

my suggestion . . . junk yard it. not only do monte's have this piece, i think the lucerne uses it and maybe the impala--if not more. That's the first place i'd look at least. . . good luck

Yeah i figured thats the most affordable route to take. Either that or i could fix this one up as best as i can and fill in the cracks and paint it... I would paint it in a heartbeat if i could some how get that brushed aluminum look that the instrument panel has.

Any ideas on how i can obtain that look. Otherwise this piece is going in the trash.

idk about the brushed aluminum look but it'd be alot easier to replicate than the carbon fiber that's used on the SS's. hope you find it
