2004 silver bullet monte carlo SQ build
... & for the moisture it will collect & start breaking down everything, ... leading to removing polish, wax, ... bring to it corrosion & rust. One, of many, reasons I stay away from them. But they do look fantastic when well-maintained, etc.
yeah i hear ya, but i do allot of highway driving so bugs are a problem.
also i dont know if i mentioned it but I got the alarm proffesionaly installed finily
by the best instal shop in the state which forunatley is very local to me. I spent nearly 500$ just on the install but worth every penny. it was 260$ for the install, 85$ for the removal of the old one, 100$ for the bypass they used. it was a 4 hour rated job at 60$\hour, 1.5 hour for the removal which was the 85$. it's a steal for the quality. i wanted to get the alarm installed and windows tinted for 500$ but it didn't work out that way
just broke the rest of my system out of storage. i have a little bit done on the prep work. gonna start with the door grills and finish deaden the door panels. as they've literley been off my car all winter haha and i'm sick of not having an interior. XD i still wont have my A pillars on but i'll live with out those they are hardley even noticeable.

To be honest I hate the look of bras.. Just ruins the look of any car there on. If you want the protection get a clear bra installed.. or better yet just maintain in properly.. But that's all my opinion you do what you want to do. Can wait for more system updates
i love your montes sound system lol you really like things loud. My interior isnt speakered up like yours but check out this video and tell me what you think lol....

even if it is only cause i have a questionable product oin my front end. which i still stand by, i do agree most bra's are ugly and this one is a little funky but by far the best looking bra ive ever seen on a car short of maybe a corvette, they look pretty sleek in a bra. but even with out the bottom piece, the hood piece is def sexy, and the 2 little scoops really help with keeping the bugs from splating up the large unprotected part of the hood.
it begins -
the work bench table

surfaces prepped -

with 7 layers of fiberglass. its thin mat, not the heavy stuff you get for boat repairs. its great stuff for getting shapes and its not as messy to work with as the mat.
i'm doing doing the negative mostley because I wanna do it right. the other molds i made would of worked but I wanted to get them perfect or at least attempt to
I'd like to learn these processes better. i'm getting pretty handy with a pair of scissors and some resin and fiberglass :P got it down to a process only took me about 20 mins to prep the area and maybe 30 mins to do the fiberglassing. i also preped the area with a release agent this time so hopfully she'll pop right off
good ol' petroleum jelly.

you can see how i attached it, with 4 points. i than epoxy'd the bolts on the back, and eventualy filled the gaps between the grill cloth and the negative mold with bondo.

you can't really see it, but i cut an angle onto the backside of the ring on this side, and also cut 1\4" around at an angle on the other side, just to keep a slightly lower profile. i thought it looked a lilly silly sitting all the way out if i just mounted it off on dowels.

this is why you don't fiberglass with out taping off the bolts
I got resin in half of my threads. i was able to grind most of it out at the expense of time but the 4th bolt was unfixable. i had to cut into the housing to put a new bolt in.
