I've been looking for some new speakers through Crutchfield and they are saying I need 5 1/4" speakers in the rear deck, but this thread https://montecarloforum.com/forum/in...iagrams-16325/ for the 95-97 years takes a 6X9 in the rear deck.
Anyone have some input before I order the wrong parts?

 

Yea - I'm 99% sure that they are 6x9's. You can see them from inside the trunk, but unfortunately they mount from the top, so you have to remove the rear seat and the package tray to remove and replace them.

The 5 1/4" is probably the front (door) speakers.

 

yupp. 6x9's in the back and 5 1/4's in the doors
