Hi, my girlfriend has a 1995 monte carlo. The cigarette lighter in the car is always on even if the key isnt in the ignition. Its really not that big of a deal other than she'll leave her gps plugged in over night and in the morning the result is a died battery. I am getting tired of jump starting this car all the time. I was wondering if this is a problem and if so how can i fix it?

 

Thats how its supposed to be. There is always power going to the cigarette lighter. Sounds like you have a girlfriend problem not a car problem.
