Default 06' MC LTZ Gauge Position / Reset

Hey all, hoping to get my dash replacement LED's delivered today. I practiced taking the dash apart so I have it down to a science now, however the first time I took the needles off I never kept the locations because I figured it would be easy enough to realign them. However, now that I am actually doing this, I can't get the gauges to go on right, and every five minutes or so, it seems as if the needles "purge" and reset to their correct locations (from being bumped out of place when I put the needles back on the steppers). The question is, is there any way to COMPLETELY reset the gauges to their correct locations before I put on the needles so I can accurately position them? Or am I doomed to constantly guessing where the gauges will reset to before placing the needles.
