I installed a pioneer FH-X700BT with a GMOS 04 adapter, all other parts of the sound system are stock. install went well. All the sounds worked and everything was fine. after a couple months I started to experience a crackle in the audio every day or two. Slowly it started to happen more frequently until eventually i lost all sound. After researching i believe its a problem with the gmos and is potentially fried. I am wanting to try and bypass the factory amp and run the speakers off my aftermarket hu to see if it was the gmps and bc i eventually want to change out all the factory sound equipment. Will i need to completely undo all the gmos wiring and just run the cars wiring directly to the hu or is there another adapter i will need to buy?

 

you can buy a harness to bypass the factory amp or cut and splice the wires together
