I JUST RECENTLY GOT REAR ENDED IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY HAVE TO REPLACE BASICALLY MY WHOLE REAR END . NEW BUMPER AND EVEN MY PIPES WERE DAMAGED, SO I WAS WONDERING SINCE THEY ARE REPLACING MY EXHAUST TIPS AND PIPES, IS THERE ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAT I WILL NOTICE? BECAUSE I HAVE A 2000 PACE CAR, SO THE PIPES THAT WERE ON BEFORE THE ACCIDENT WERE ALMOST 7 YEARS OLD. WILL MY SPEED ENHANCE , CAR RUN BETTER? LET ME KNOW

 

I don't think changing the pipes and tips alonr will make any difference. If you changed the mufflers or did some of the other exhaust modifications that are described on this forum, yes, you would notice a difference, but just the tailpipes and tips I don't see why there would be any difference.

 

I don't either. If they changed the catlytic converter, being as its a few years old, It may make a difference. But the mufflers don't really "wear out", they get holes in them though. I doubt you will notice any difference at all really.

 

doing the tips on the back wont change anything horsepower wise, but if you looked into doing exhaust work like the u-bend delete and a high flow cat, that would help

 

A high flow cat with U-Bend delete with definately change the power and moreso the sound. Tips don't do anything except chang the look. I would look into high flow mufflers if those need to be replaced.
