tune time
i was hoping to get around this but it cant be done. when i put the throttle body spacer in i also decided to port the throttle body. well its not throwing a code but its deffinately running rich and about 100-150 rpm higher than usual.
so i decided i would try and cancel this out with my diablo tuner. no dice. the computer changed parameters due to the increase in airflow. now i cant rewrite the tune to the car.
so now i must take it and get dyno tuned.
in the chicago land area anybody know of a good place?

Assuming you used a stock throttle blade (which if you hand ported it, you had to) and didn't port near the sealing area, there is no way in heck you changed the airflow enough to cause the engine to idle high and run rich.
When I ported the TB on my L67 (just half shafted it, knife edged the blade, and did some other minor cleanup/polishing)- my fuel trims barely changed.
Your pcm should have a pretty wide range of fuel trim adjustment- and I can't see any way that you've bottomed out your fuel trims so it can't pull any more fuel (ie is actually running rich because it can't pull any more fuel). Also, I don't know how much range your TB has for idle, being electronic and all- but I wouldn't think two extremely minor mods would push it past its range of adjustability.

well i figured it out. when i went for the first drive after was when i noticed the rpms. then i decided to go and tune it. well the tune failed. so right now the tune is all screwed up. and now i cant tune it at all cus of theprogrammer not allowing it

i went to the diablo site for tech help. they keep telling me that right now im fd with the tuner. but i did drive it a good 30 miles today. and noticed that it is driving really smooth. the acceleration is full and the shift to second is much better. there is no bog anymore. so if i get to a dyno tune ill try and leave the shift alone. i like it. also the dod stays on longer and trys to get up the hill b4 changing. which is nice to
