true dual exhaust?

Default true dual exhaust?

ok so my friend is being a big doucher about this bcuz he thinks he knows everything about cars i have an 87 ss it does have aftermarket exhaust but i dont know what kind was never told but i know it sounds amazing...anyways hes trying to tell me that i dont have true dual exhaust and i said i have dual exhaust idk wtf he was saying by true...hes just being a smart *** im going to take some pics probably tomorrow or something like that to show u guys the exhaust underneath

True duals means there's 1 pipe on each side of the engine and down and under and out.

A "fake" dual, is one pipe from the engine back and then a Y pipe splits it into 2.

i told that bastard i have true dual then lol at least i think i do ill post some pics next time its in driveway its on the side of road now hard to get to

hell just pop the hood and see if the exhaust pip on the driver side comming off the manifold runs strait down and back or if it kinda takes a turn and tucks under the motor...

turn n tuck usually means fake strait down n back usually mean duals...depends on how the ran it tho...

idk, but your car seems like it was cared for too nicely for one of the PO's to have skimped on a fake duel exaust.... that and its is a bajilion times easer to just run duels on a v8 than have to run the pipes into a single pipe than cross them back over somewheres towards the back... really not worth the time / $...

btw, what does your bastard friend drive
