You arent supposed to port the LIM unless you match the heads with the port job, as it will cause flow turbulence, and you will actually lose horsepower if they arent port matched.

I was talking about the Gen V housing... isnt that what you were talking about?

No, I was talking about the exterior housing itself. Once I get it I might polish the insides a bit as well. I'm just going to make the inside as smooth as possible.

The exterior is what I want to work on. I've seen someone polish these to a mirror finish, almost like chrome. I think it would look kickass to do that.

W00T!!! Just got home for lunch and laying on the steps was my GenV!!! It needs to be polished up a bit on the housing, but it is nicely intact. Can't wait to get out of work and the weekend!!!

I'm looking to take pics tomorrow. I was going to do it tonight, but the lighting sucks. I'm going to detail everything it takes to install it and I'm going to attempt to sand and polish it. If I mess up, out comes the flat black Krylon.

Yah, you have your work cut out for you! All of those ridges and such...

Might it not be better to take the housing to a chrome dipper? I KNOW they are everywhere.. esp at body shops and such...

I mean, if you wanted to save time, that is...

Here is where I got the idea from, but I don't expect my results nearly as nice.

WOW... That looks incredible!! I was also reading your inquiry on ClubGP, looks like there was that other guy that just took most of the rough off, and it has a semi-shine to it, with the black snout... Still looks awesome though!!

Problem with that is, everytime I would get done driving, I'd be underthere with some Mother's chrome polish making sure the blower didn't lose its luster... Great project though!

Well, My 61 pound box from Rob with my SLP Powerflo system got delivered yesterday, so now, finally, all of my mods that I plan on doing mechanically to the car have been delivered, and are at home waiting for me to install

The UPS man told my family where they are being delivered that I am breaking his back delivering all of these boxes! lol!
