Default Throttle body/maf ? for turbo l36 engine

Hi All - I was curious has anyone tried putting the slot style ls7 maf in stock throttle body location or if it would work. i currently have an LT1 maf with my cartuning kit and i just think there is a better way, that thing gets hot!!! sitting right above downpipe, esp here in FL - lol.... any combo of intake/tb/maf suggestions or ideas? thanks<Dennis

We installed my ABACO digital MAF meter in the driver side fender well directly behind the relocated air filter. The 4 way digital air meter allows you to really dial in the air flow readings.

Is your downpipe wrapped or ceramic coated? That would help cut down on the heat.

As for the LSx slot style MAF- I run one (in a 4" Texas Speed aluminum housing), but not in a stock TB. They definitely wouldn't drop into a stock TB- the LSx slot style are narrow and long- the stock ones are short and stubby- just a little square / circle opening.

Stock maf with an adjustable afc and some tune tweaks. That's all you need honestly.
