Default side exhaust?

I kinda got this idea in my head and it sounds pretty sweet to me in theory but as we all know plans and actuals don't always work out lol. So my thought is to run not a side pipe exhaust but and exhaust that exits in front of the rear tires. Just put a Y pipe after resonator and run piping from there out the side. has anyone dabbled/thought/done this before? just a thought that has been bouncing around in my head.

The only thing I don't like about this, is that the rear bumper would look REALLY funny without any exhaust tips.

I completely agree. I haven't really done to much research on it yet but my existing bumper now needs to be replaced because previous owner was rear ended and its cracked up in a couple spots. I have a buddy who works at a chevy dealership in the body shop and im sure he might be able to fab a fill in for the exhaust openings to make it one straight bottom portion. this was all just and idea that iv been bouncing around with.

I think it would look good but I would only exit the passengers side with like a rectangle "nascar" tip.

If you're gonna do it, then go for both sides. And if your buddy can help you out with a fresh rear bumper design, then definitely go for it. You would have one original Monte!
