This may be a slight possibility white lightning, If I decide to change up my exhaust to side exit I would definatley let you know about even exchanging our bumpers,
Don't get your hopes up too much, but I will think about it and talk to my muffler shop to see what it would take for me to do side exit and how that might work out for me.
Not a bad Idea

you could always run the exhaust to the normal location then put a u bend in after the muffler and run it towards the selected side exhaust location.
I think for the 1970 challenger TA they had a muffler that had the U bend inside it so it entered and exited the front of the muffler, and put the exit in perfect placement for side pipes (They were mounted under the rear seats). I have no idea if mufflers like that are made anymore, but if you can find some I'm sure it would help you out. Unfortunately I cant find a picture of that muffler to post, but i do have another sweet pic to post related to it... kinda

another idea cutout with a y pipe to side exhaust(no muffs) would look funy but get a lip kit and put turndowns on the mufflers so they don't stick out
