Resonator/Muffler Delete Good or Bad
IM sure someone out there has done what im wanting to do.
i have 2005 MC LS 3.4 i want to take off the Larger resonator after Cat, and take off the stock muffler and run duals.
Does anyone have a video of how theres is from cat back split off into dual pipes. Does it sound good, too high pitched raspy, any notice of decrease performance.
Just trying to get a noticeable rumble at idle and some while driving. I hate this quiet sound.

I have a flowmaster 40 series and it added noticeable rumble. Everything else is the same. Search YouTube for what you want. There's loads of exhaust vids.

Well im already going to be putting the CrossFlow Transverse 80 Series Flow master on it, Just so i dont have to run dual 40 series for each exhaust tip. I figured take resonator out now and when muffler arrives swap that in
This video is exactly how im doing it as its the 80 series but guy left the resonator on which im not keeping on

The guy I bought my Monte from definitely had the resonator taken out, and then itself makes it sound better immediately. Of course, he also removed the catalytic converter and straight piped it before the mufflers, which I discovered after we purchased it. That would clearly help with the brumm-brumm, but is also illegal as you know. Keep some form of muffler or resonator on just so you don't get stopped or fail inspection.

I dont have a sound clip but im running a hi flow cat, res delete, and duals split 3 feet before the muffler tips. Running flowmaster super 44's, summit hi flow oval cat, and 2.25` inch piping across the entire setup. My results..... it sound very aggressive and i love it, anything after 3500 rpm is blistering loud, idle is a deep low pitched rumble.
Oh also i have an 03 LS 3.4L

Put mufflers on it, you won't like how loud it will sound and at higher RPMs it will sound like crap, because it's not a V8.
The 3400 does however sound 10x better than the 3800 when it comes to overall exhaust notes, I would get a shorter resonator to limit drone, I have some drone with a shorter resonator still and just get some mufflers put on.

Thanks, for all the info.
State of michigan here only requires 1 Muffler to be active on the car which most just have Cat.
Ill be doing the resinator delete, and adding the 80 series or maybe dual 40 serie mufflers on each side
