I currently have an 03 ss with flow 40s, how do you guys think the exhaust note would sound if i took out the resonators and put in a cherrybomb and some straight pipe. Louder/quieter/better/too muffeled/raspy/crappy/too loud/honda-like?[sm=feedback.gif]

 

It will be louder and sound better at idle and at full throttle, but you will have to listen to it drone (constant buzzing-like sound)when under normal throttle. The drone gets annoying after a while. You are almost better off getting a performance resonator to replace the stock one with. It should sound better, flow better and still not have any drone.

 

yeah my car has a set up like that but the glasspack is the only muffelr in it. mine has alot of drone but i like it, i love hearing my cars sound.

It shouldn't get significantly louder- if you do a lot of highway driving though, I'd probably think twice about it. Its not going to be crazy loud or anything like that, but the drone on the highway can get irritating to some.

Kinda just depends on your level of tolerance.

 

I am one of those people that gets annoyed with the drone quickly. Women hate it and you really have to crank up the stereo to avoid it.
