Default Need new mufflers

I am getting a 2.5" mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust for my car. I am going to need to get 2 new mufflers to go with it. I like the sound of my current mufflers but I am afraid that the exhaust note may get raspy with the larger exhaust. I am thinking of getting magnaflows to complete thestainless theme. Im not sure what they will sound like on my car. Anyone care to put in their 2cents?

I love mine for the fact that they do not rasp at all, yet have a deep, throaty tone. They get a little quieter in the higher rpm. I used Dynomax SuperTurbos. Part #'s: 17666 and 17667 (left and right). The youtube vid I have up was right after the installation. Now that they are broken in, sound much nicer, especially when warm. Come to think of it, I need a new clip. Been about 6 months now.

(subwoofer gives best result)

i wouldn't fear getting a raspy sound out of the same mufflers. getting larger pipesmay make your suond a little louder, and it may crackle a little more when you let off the throttle, but i wouldn't worry about it. i'd save my money and try to keep those mufflers on for now if i were you. if you decide after a week or so you're now unhappy with the sound, then look into getting something else, but otherwise... stick with the mufflers you got if you like how they sound.

Thanks guys. My dad talked me into just slipping the tubing over the muffler inlets. He has some eastwood liquid ceramic paint that I may use to keep them from rusting more.

Borla or Magnaflow mufflers for sure. When I get my custom catback done when the weather gets nice, I'm going to do 2.5", res. delete, 2 Magnaflow Round mufflers with 3.5" tips.
