So i just bought a ZZP downpipe and a JMB FWI and was wondering if these parts would fit on a
2000 Impala LS

No because it's a completely different engine.

Well... maybe the FWI could work, but the downpipe is 3800 specific. He would have to get a downpipe for the 3.4 engine.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the '00-'03 Impala's came in two options.....
Base and LS. The base model is the same as the '00-'03 Monte LS and the '00-'03 Impala LS is the same setup as the Monte SS.
They didn't start making the Impala SS until '04 when they got the supercharged engines, (and just had two different versions of the Monte SS in either n/a or s/c).

So, are you sure he has an LS? Or does he definitely have a 3400 engine?

If he has an Impala LS with a 3800, then the parts are the same and will bolt right up.

I believe you are right also. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Impala#2000-2005 states this and After researching a bit in ebay you are right. Initially I thought it had the same trims as the Montes, but I guess they just like to mess with our heads. SO back to topic, I think both mods should work on a IMPALA 2000 LS
